Just wanted to say thank you for this great post. As a brand manager, it's important to learn from other campaigns and plan for every eventuality. Your Mammut assessment was spot on. It really didn't feel right for the brand at all. Great quote "I mean, a London launch and disposable-style flash photography totally says “our gear is only for the mountains”, right?"

Also outdoor brands cannot make enough money on serious users alone. They have to appeal to the fashion set in order to sell enough product. So the campaign feels off-putting to a potential customer base.
